Artistic Impressions

With the planned extension, there would be a need to have a structural column in place in the corner of the existing building to support the required steel beams. This posed a constraint to our design and layout as we would have to plan our kitchen to accommodate this column. As our architect was using traditional methods, we were concerned about how the space would flow within the kitchen given the constraint of having a required structural column. We were also keen to get a visualisation of the extension to determine how the changes would impact the existing building. As such we were able to find a local company who work with architects to produce 3D renderings. They visited our house and after discussing our plans, they took some photographs and we also sent the exported drawings from the software application we used which reduced the amount of work (and cost) they had to do.
