Initial Layout Ideas
Although the house is great, there are a number of changes we would like to make to the layout to meet our lifestyle. Existing Layout Relocate the garage so that it is attached to the house and build a room above that can accommodate an en-suite and walk-in wardrobe for the master bedroom. Remodel the back of the house so that its more open-plan and the kitchen is more central. First floor laundry room The following diagrams show some of the iterations our design went through. Design 1 Design 1 provides the minimal amount of change, simply closing off the door on the East side of the house and enlarging the small toilet into a ground floor shower room. Design 2 Design 2 removes the wall between the kitchen and the breakfast room to provide a larger kitchen.
