Day 22 - Drainage

Today was spent completing the drainage by connecting it to the public sewer via the manhole at the front of the property.

Photos 1 to 3 show the trench dug for the drain to connect with the manhole at the front of the property after which it joins the public sewer.

Photo 4 shows the drain connecting into the existing manhole, while photos 5 and 6 show the waste pipe going into the manhole and then dropping down into the main channel.

Grab lorry arrived to remove more muck Photo 1 Photo 2 The damp proofing was also applied in the hallway. Although it was suggested to take the damp proofing up to 1m, it would have required removing all the skirting and dado-rails. We decided against it as the existing damp course was doing its job so we just applied it below the finished floor level as that wont be accessible. Day 106 - Garage
