Day 19 - Drainage

Progress was a little slow today as they ran short of materials whilst doing the drainage. So they shifted their efforts inside to whack down the hard-core ready for a layer of sand and damp-proof membrane (DPM).

The above photo shows a new 100mm drain line that is running above the main 150mm drain line which runs from the larger inspection chamber in the background. That bendy pipe is going to be the connection for the toilet with the blue mark on the right being the partition wall. The other vertical pipe that is outside the foundation masonry is for connecting the rainwater pipe.

This photo shows where the 100mm drain connects back into the main 150mm drain line.
Photo 3
This 40mm waste pipe is going to take the electric cable from the existing location under the stairs through the house and into the garage where the new electric meter and possibly consumer unit will be situated.

Photo 4
This photo shows where the electric meter and fuse box is currently located. As we are hoping to convert the cloakroom into a wet-room it was probably a good idea to move the electrics elsewhere.
