Day 32 - Foundation Masonry


Today work started on the underpinning for the corner pad to take the steel column.

The outer skin of the foundation masonry also progressed quite well. Its all looking a lot better now.

As we have varying ground levels, we've had to vary the courses of engineering bricks. The height of the extension is going to be quite high from the garden floor level. This isn't something that we had considered and it would've been nice to have this information from our architect but that's a lesson learnt.

This side will have a raised patio, hence only 2 courses of bricks are visible.
